The programme is designed for those working as Superintendents, Staff Supervisors, Offshore Team Leader / Production Supervisors, Chief Engineers, Workshops Managers or Installation Managers or those wishing to transition into these roles from a supervisor position.
Successful participants will be awarded the ECITB Certificate of Achievement, CMI Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, opportunity to go forward as a CMI Chartered Manager.

Developing Leadership Skills. Delegates will understand and study their own leadership style through a psychometric instrument and learn how to develop and implement plans for their own and others personal development and welfare.
Delivering Safer Projects. This module focuses on the people side of safety, from the human misery cost of failure to the importance of involvement and teamwork in creating safe systems of work.
The Project Life Cycle. This module aims to expand delegate’s knowledge of project planning and control across all stages of a project along with – quite mathematical – ways to improve project performance.
Seeing the Bigger Picture. This module focuses on higher –level financial aspects of companies and project – from ‘Who owns my company?’ to ‘How to add value to my project?’
Supervising People for Results. This module focuses on techniques to keep the project moving by getting the most from people and terms.
Leading People. This module puts leadership into the wider organisational context, encouraging the learner to recognise and deal with issues outside their normal operation that impact on them.
Seeing the Bigger Picture. The project enables delegates to put some of the skills they have learned into practice in their own organisation.
Recognised Apprenticeship or HNC
5 years front line Supervisory experience
Safety Qualification – Supervisory CCNSG as minimum
Experience of major site operations in a unionised environment
SMTD Certificate/Level 3 Certificate in Management; or
Their current or anticipated role requires them to act in a middle to senior capacity; or
Prior qualifications, prior learning and experience are at a comparable level, breadth and depth (CMI Accredited Trainers will need to undertake an assessment to confirm suitability).
